Whale Watching Broken Bay

When the whales are migrating we run a one hour tour to get
out and enjoy the majestic sight of the passing whale fleet. It is an amazing
experience to see the migrating whales up close as they pass on their annual
journey between the Antarctic and the warm waters of the Coral Sea.
The whales pass the mouth of the Bay and it is usually a
short and scenic trip to link up with their migration path. We often see whales
breaching, tail slapping and fin slapping. A highlight is seeing a mother
teaching a new calf these important life skills.
We follow in our purpose built Ecotour RIB at a respectful
distance and have a Marine Biologist on board to answer any questions and to
help identify the species. On most trips we will be gathering data for whale
Broken Bay has a dramatic sandstone coastline and hides an
intriguing war history of Japanese mini submarines and Z Force Commandos.
Other marine life that we may encounter includes a secret colony
of Fairy Penguins, dolphins, seals and whales depending on the season April –
Departs Ettalong Ferry Wharf or Hardys Bay Public Wharf,

Unfortunately people with limited mobility may not be able to board the vessel.
